Facilities Request Procedures

Requests to use all or any portion of the Riverside Chapel Facility are to be made by completing the Riverside Facility Request Form, and submitting it to the Riverside Church Secretary. (Forms are available online or in the Church Office.) Facility Request Forms can be submitted up to 1 year in advance, but no later than one (1) month prior to the requested use date. Each form will be reviewed by the Calendar Committee1 , and a written response can be expected within 5 business days.

Requests are divided into two categories: Restricted Use Requests and General Use Requests. Restricted Use Requests are requests to use the facility during times that are normally “restricted” for Riverside ministries. The restricted times are all Federal Holidays; Tuesday, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm; Wednesday, 5 pm – 9 pm; and Friday, 5 pm – Sunday, 2 pm. General Use Requests are requests to use the facility during all other “nonrestricted” times.

A. RESTRICTED USE REQUESTS

To use all or any portion of the Riverside Chapel Facility during the restricted time period, the request must conform to each of the following requirements:
1. It must be made by an official Riverside Board Member, Coordinator, or Team Leader.

2. It must be for an approved Riverside ministry meeting, service, program or event.
3. It must be made at least 1 month prior to the requested use date.

B. GENERAL USE REQUESTS

To use all or any portion of the Riverside Chapel Facility during the general use period, the request must be made 1 month prior to the requested use date.

C. EXCEPTIONS

1. Wedding requests must be authorized by the Pastor
2. Funeral requests must be authorized by the Pastor.
RENTAL FEES

Use of Riverside Chapel’s entire physical facility (Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and classrooms), requires a $2,000 ($1,000 for members) fee payable in advance. Additional fees may apply.

Use of only the Sanctuary requires a $1,500 fee ($750 for members) payable in advance. Additional fees may apply.

Use of only the Fellowship Hall (including usage on Sabbath) requires a $500.00 fee ($250 for members) payable in advance. Additional fees may apply. 

All facility rentals require a non-refundable $100 deposit to secure final approval. Events will not be booked without a deposit. Balance is due 30 days prior to the event.
Use of Facilities Policies

1. The Worship Planning Team must approve the music to be used for any ceremony in the church sanctuary.
2. No dripping candles, glitter or other hard to clean materials in the sanctuary.
3. No meat, seafood or poultry is to be prepared in the church facilities.
4. No biblically unclean meat, seafood or poultry is to be served in the church facilities (e.g. pork, shrimp, etc. Call church office for guidelines).
5. No tobacco products are permitted on church property.
6. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on church property.
7. No firearms, weapons or illegal drugs are permitted on church property.
8. All fees are payable thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event.
